Telegraph Cove BC Vancouver Island North
Whale Watching, Kayaking and Wildlife
Telegraph Cove, a boardwalk community, is one of those places that you will never forget.
It is a little isolated, with only a few places to stay overnight. BPort Hardy and Port McNeill, west of Sayward and North West of Campbell River, it is a little of the main highway, but well worth the drive.
Many visitors take a tour from Campbell River or Port Hardy and both are easily accessible by car as a day trip option.
Just be warned that you have to book well in advance if you expect to stay in Telegraph Cove, which really is no bigger than a very small village around a dock.
Whale Watching from Telegraph Cove
Telegraph Cove, however is one of those "must see" items if you want to explore the natural sea life, from an authentic old fishing inlet: and one that is famous for it's kayaking tours!

There are daily trips, so you do not have to feel rushed to take in everything the first day you are there. Normally you will be aboard a ship for three to three and a half hours on one of the whale watching jaunts.
The family atmosphere that people feel when they come to this community is the reason they decide to come back year after year. After all, isn’t that the best reason for deciding to take a vacation to a small community?
