I guarantee you won't find any dull, dry descriptions of yet another tourist trap here. Nope. Uh-uh.

What you will find is first-hand, insider information - prepared by resident islanders and served up with plenty of personality. Oh yeah!

In fact, this site is entirely created by me and my team of hand picked, fun-loving locals who just love to talk to strangers (don't tell their moms!). They share their favourite places to stay, their secret getaway spots, and their top picks for adventure and fun on Vancouver Island.

But they don't just give you generic descriptions of beaches and ski hills and music festivals; these folks actually go there, do that, then head on over here to report back on how much fun (or not) they had.

Take this lovely photo of Beacon Hill Park in Victoria for example…

...someone on my team actually went there, smelled the roses (as well as the pot-bellied pigs in the petting zoo), played on the swings, and probably even fell in the duckpond. And they've got the pictures to prove it.

Now that's the kind of thing you want to read about, right? Not another ho-hum, same old same old description of "Victoria - The City of Gardens." Come on, we can do better than that…right?

Right!

How did I manage to swing that, you ask?

Well, fortunately, I'm a pretty likeable person with lots of friends. And since most of my friends live here, I've managed to corral a bunch of them into coughing up a few photos and crazy adventure stories as well.

At least, those who were short-sighted enough to friend me on Facebook. Little did they know they'd soon be recruited to help inform you, our esteemed visitor, about what really goes on here on Vancouver Island.

Sounds like fun, right? You betcha!
